Knut Egil Wang´s work is rooted in a documentary tradition, and often focuses on the more quirky aspects of everyday life. His first monograph Traktorland (2008) is about tractors and tractor culture in the region of Jæren, Norway. In Southbound (2014) he explores Norwegians´ love for southern, warmer countries commonly referred to in Norwegian as “Syden”.
