Membership criteria and application deadline

New members are accepted to The Norwegian Association of Fine Art Photographers (FFF) based on the following criteria:

"The applicant must have completed an arts education at bachelor level or higher, or be able to demonstrate a similar artistic practice within camera-based art. The applicant must be in active pursuits as an artist. All applicants who meet the admission criteria apply on equal terms"

FFF welcomes membership applications twice a year, 1 March and 1 October. The membership fee is NOK. 1150, - per year.

Member Benefits

Art politics:
FFF is an interest organization. By being a member you are contributing to our artist group getting even greater impact on important matters. The General Assembly is FFF's highest body, and as a member you have the opportunity to vote and influence the organization.

Artist Insurance:
The Artist Insurance is a joint insurance collaboration between a number of Norwegian artists' organizations. The organizations have collaborated on obtaining offers on member insurance on behalf of a large group of artists. We are proud to have put in place this scheme, which will significantly lower insurance costs for most of our members.

Studios:
Members of FFF can apply for studios at FFF affiliated with FFF's offices in Møllergata 34, centrally located in Oslo. To accommodate as many members as possible, there is a call out for new tenants regularly, and the studios can be rented for two years or more.

Guest Apartment:
FFF has a guest apartment for rent for shorter periods, with a minimum of 1 week to maximum 2 months. FFF' members have priority and extra good rental rates. For more information: Guest apartment.

Scanning and printing facilities:
FFF manages a bookable workshop area for photographers for scanning of negatives and printing. The offer is very popular, so make sure you book ahead. The workshop facilities are available on a day to day basis, no long term bookings. For more information: Fellesverkstedet

Discount agreements:
FFF members also have a number of discount agreements and free admission to several museums and institutions.

Membership card

FFF’s proof of membership is an electronic membership card available to all our members. The card is used for discount deals and entrances to museums. The card is always available in your user profile and is marked as valid when the current year's membership fee is paid.

The membership card can be found by logging in to the member database (see the procedure described below). You can either show the membership card directly from your user profile, or you can download the image to your phone. You can also print it directly from your user profile.

The membership card is currently only available in Norwegian, but will soon have English translations.

User profile in our member database (required)

As an FFF member you are assigned a user profile in our member database. Here you can log in to view communication with FFF and easily keep your contact information up to date, you administer this yourself. This is also where you will find each year’s invoice for the membership fee and the membership card.

The user profile in our member base is not public, and should not be confused with the member profile you create on our website.

As a member you can create a member profile on our webpage where you can show case your work. You manage and maintain the profile yourself. Please contact us if you want access to this service.

Note: Please note that the member profiles on our websites are not a complete membership register. It is optional to create a profile.
