FFF welcomes you to Fotobokfestival Oslo 2015; a ten-day programme examining the photobook as an artistic medium and phenomenon through exhibitions, lectures, launches, workshops and much more! Fotobokfestival Oslo, formerly known as Flere Sider Fotografi (Various Sides of Photography), was established by Forbundet Frie Fotografer (Norwegian Associaton of Fine Art Photographers – FFF) in 2009, and is now an annual event taking place during September every year.
We are proud to present this year´s festival programme, which is a result of unique collaborations as part of our efforts to highlight the photobook. The PhotoBookMuseum was established in Cologne in 2014 by publisher and curator Markus Schaden (DE) and his team, paying tribute to the central form of expression in photography: the photobook. Fotobokfestival Oslo is the first stop for their Mobile Edition tour, and and the only Nordic venue for these projects, which will be exhibited at Youngstorget, Fotogalleriet and Goethe-Institute.
In addition to this, Fotobokfestival Oslo also collaborates with Fotogalleriet, Shoot Gallery, MELK, TM51, Fotografiens Hus and Tronsmo bookstore, who all have developed other programmes as part of the 2015 festival.
