Jenny Hviding is an Oslo-based multidisciplinary artist, working with painting, photography and fabric; questioning the world around her through movement and daily observations in connections with others or autobiographical reflections.
The main pillars in her art practice revolve around animism, feminism and urbanism, inner work, connections to nature, body, identity and belonging. Breaking free from stereotypes and any other frames that society or yourself might put on.
After traveling and living abroad for ten years, mainly working within the topics of sociopolitical projects, she came back to Oslo to study; OFKS, an analog photo Art School(2015-2017). Graduating her BA from the Academy, at The National Academy of the Arts, Oslo, Norway. (2017-2020)
Her works have been shown at Nordic Light Festival, Uncertain States Scandinavia, Kösk Gallery; Off the Wall, Tenthaus gallery; Queer artists, The Oslo City Hall Gallery, Norway; Cyan gallery, Norway; Queer clubbing, Museum of Cultural History, Norway; Imago Mundi, The Fondazione Giorgio Cini, Venice, Italy; Safnahúsið, The Culture House, Reykjavik, Iceland and Monument Festival to mention some.
