Maria Konstanse Bruun is a Norwegian artist who's work ranges from carefully constructed performance based photographic self-portraiture and installations made from found images and objects to documentary style photography. Maria's work revolves around the uncertain nature of the boundaries between the physical and the metaphysical self, and the self and its surroundings.
Maria studied photography at Arts University of Bournemouth in addition to holding an MA in Social Anthropology and a BA in psychology from University of Oslo.
Her work has been selected and exhibited internationally by The National Portrait Gallery London, Royal Academy of Arts London, Lens Culture, The Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize, London Photographic Association, Creekside Open amongst others.
